percurso por geografias imaginárias

O corpo é constituído por diferentes matérias com diferentes densidades e texturas, com diferentes qualidades de movimento. Estas matérias fazem do interior do corpo, um espaço geográfico repleto de paisagens.
Esta dança propõe um corpo-paisagem, um corpo que transita entre paisagens internas e externas transmitindo o culminar das duas. Situa-se num contexto em que o corpo é um movimento continuo de forças que o atravessam e em que a sua matéria é efémera e mutável.
É uma viagem por percursos imaginários, que não conta uma história mas toca a possibilidade de materialização dessas histórias que se inscreveram na memória do corpo. Fica por isso uma viagem em aberto onde o espectador pode viajar pelo seu próprio imaginário através do corpo da criadora que está em constante transformação
Estas transformações acontecem a cada segundo, agora, agora, agora, o corpo é, é, é, é, é – metamorfoses sucessivas.
O gestos traçam no espaço representações que nascem da potência mimética do corpo (significar tal ou ser tal coisa).

„Die Wüste birgt eine Feuchtigkeit, die es wieder zu finden gilt“

Based on the book by the Brazilian writer Clarice Lispector:

“A paixão segundo G.H.”(Die Passion nach G.H.)

The book is written in the form of a monologue by a woman, identified as G.H., recounting the crisis that ensued after she crushed a cockroach in the door of a wardrobe. The next day she writes on her own incapacity of writing about this event.

There are no steps in the drama. There is no defined beginning, neither the time nor an epilogue, there is a continuous density in the existential experience and recognition of a truth that strips the “I” of daily illusions and gives the “I” a new sense of reality. The body is a body in crisis.

The work involves actions that come from the book, which are triggered and/or enriched by sentences that we connect to the action, bringing the world of G.H. into dance on stage.

The video is a reflection about what is natural and artificial; integrating these two concepts in the same space, it suggests a relation built upon the complete symbiosis and the transformation of one into the other. The work was developed through the collaboration of artists from different areas, what has determined the characteristic traits and the forms of the video.

The creation process of Lugar Quiçá had its beginning in December, 2009, during the Choreographic Creation, Dance Research and Training Programe of Forum Dança, in Lisbon, Portugal, with the artistic orientation of Patrícia Portela. The finalization of the video happened in April 2010, in an Artistic Residency on Edifício – Structure formed by Forum Dança and Rumo do Fumo. The première has taken place on Alkantara Festival, an international festival of performative arts.
